This was a fascinating rendition of a traditional idea (walking through a door in one world to arrive in another). I loved the contrast between Sydney Australia in the summer and New York City USA in the winter. I also really enjoyed learning some new Australian slang words, which are defined in a glossary in the back of the book for us dumb Americans.

Due to problems with the new BC site and thanks to Matt for looking into the matter I'm now able to catch the book :-)

I really enjoyed this book. It kept me waiting on my toes. The characters were likable and I really liked the story. It gave a new look at magic as a dangerous thing. The story was full of adventure and kept you in the dark about some things as much as the characters.
