Since this book seems so popular, I would like to turn this book into a book ray.

To help ensure that things run smoothly (or that is the plan anyhow), I've put together a few rough guidelines for this one. I know that some people take longer to read a book (busy, got a bunch of books to read before, work, etc)...

1. Please try to have this book read within 3 weeks. I know this isn't possible, but if you make an effort to try that is all I can ask.

2. Please journal when you receive the book.

3. When about halfway through, please contact the next person on the list for their mailing address.

4. Please journal again when you've read the book and it is on its way to the next reader.

5. Have fun! Reading is supposed to be fun!

6. To the last person in the ray: Please keep this book moving... RABCK it, give it to a friend, etc... just please keep it moving once you're done reading it. Thanks!

7. If sending to the same person as the previous book in the series, please double check that they have't moved before sending the book their way. Thanks!

Sending order will be modified as people join in. This is the International ray. There is also one that is just in North America.

The sending order is:
Haugtussa- Norway (Int)
YellowBow- Portugal (Europe only)***skipped***
pazyryk- Portugal (Int)
anathema-device- Austria (can do Int)

The book arrived today.

I just got my own copy of this book, thus I'll pass this one on to the next reader.
YellowBow asked to be skipped (as she also had her own copy) thus the book is off to pazyryk.

I'll write more when I've read my own copy!

Just arrived!!! Very well conditioned! Thanks Haugtussa.
Next to be reading, as soon as I finished "the Gargoyle". Anxious to go on with this fantastic vampire story.
Thanks again thegoaliegirl.

Sent today to anathema.
I liked most “Twilight”. Sometimes this book gave me the feeling of a story built to fill the pages, specially the first part with Jacob and friends. At the end things were more interesting, in the way of first book. Nevertheless I enjoyed the reading and I am willing for the next volumes. Thanks thegoaliegirl.

The book has arrived! Thanks for forwarding. It will be devoured sometime in the next couple of days - as soon as I can find the time! Looking forward to meeting all those characters again... I've heard that this one is more about the werewolves, and I'm more of a vampire girl myself, but hey, more teen fantasy! ;)

Journal Entry 6 by anathema-device from Wien Bezirk 20 - Brigittenau, Wien Austria on Thursday, April 9, 2009
Okay, so I started on Tuesday, which makes it two days in which I finished this book (double the time it took me to read Twilight).
At first I didn't like Bella much either; I thought she was too much of a drama queen (wallow, wallow).
But then I began to think, I wish there had been teen books like this series around when I was that age...
And I hadn't expected the Volturi and everything that came after that.
Yes, I liked Twilight better, but then I also enjoyed finding out that werewolves can be nice "people" too, and I did miss the Cullens, so...
I'm really looking forward to the next book, somehow.
(Hopefully featuring more Edward, since I'd cast him so perfectly...) ;)

I'll send this book back on its way right after Easter / Ostara. :)
Thanks for passing it on to me.

Again, I read this (long) book in just a few days! I must say I was ill and home alone, it kept me really good company anyway. ;) I liked Twilight better too, just because it was somehow happier and Edward was more present. But I really enjoyed the Jacob plot in this one, while I was expecting a much scarier climax with the Volturi. I must say that even through exaggerated expressions of feelings (or lack of them), I always ended up sympathizing with the characters in this book, especially Bella. So, I'm looking forward to see how things are going from here! :)
Thanks for letting me read this book!

Martjxox asked to be skipped as she's already read it.
I've asked for Alectoness' address to send it on.

29th april: it's on its way to Alectoness. Enjoy!

Journal Entry 9 by Alectoness from Geelong, Victoria Australia on Thursday, May 7, 2009
This book has now made it's way to London, UK (thanks mikime!) I'm just finishing off another book now, but I should be able to start on it soon.

I might be going against the general trend, but I preferred this book to Twilight. Some of this preference might be due to the fact that I’m just more used to Bella’s narrative voice now, but I also enjoyed the development of her relationship with Jacob. While he might never be quite the romantic figure that Edward is, Jacob’s definitely an interesting character in his own right. I’m looking forward to the next book and seeing how the overall storyline develops.

Will mail this on to raeliz64 tomorrow.

I enjoyed this just as much as Twilight, maybe even a little more.

Lucy-lemon asked to be skipped so I've PM'd Charlieboots76.

Posted to Charlieboots76 today.

Journal Entry 14 by Niksu from Helsinki, Uusimaa / Nyland Finland on Wednesday, June 24, 2009
The book is with me, thanks! But when looking at the ray list, was there suppose to be Charlieboots76 and kbmarsh before me? Or maybe they asked to be skipped but it's not written anywhere.

Anyway, I'll start reading the book and hope if someone could informe me should I send the book to benschu next or someone else? Thanks!

My hopes were high, higher than I had with Twilight. I was eager to find out how the characters are growing, or are they and which way the story continues. I was annoyed with Bella at the first book, so I hoped she’d get over the teen angst and would grow up a bit. Did she, I'm not sure, but atleast she was abit less annoying.

I like Meyers easy writing style. It's fast read even though the thickness of the book. The book kept me company while travelling on the train last weekend and yesterday I finished it. (On a train a young girl next to me was reading the part one in this series in Finnish:))

If I have to compare these two books, I'm not sure which I liked better. Maybe I liked Twilight more. There are so much similarities in this book that Bella had with Edward in the first book that it seemed dull. I was guessing all the time where the story is heading, which I didn't do in the first part. It will be really interesting to read the rest of the series to find out were my guessings right. I really hope Meyers don't go the easiest way but brings some twist and turns.

Thanks to raeliz64 and thegoaliegirl for sending me PM's about the books travels before it reached me. As thegoaliegirl has write in the first JE, lucy-lemon has asked to be skipped and Charlieboots76 had the book but with no JE's and she was the one who send me this.

I PM'd benschu and she as well has asked to be skipped but is willing to read the next book in this series. I've got lady-anglophile's address so the book will travel to Kuwait next. Thanks again to thegoaliegirl for organizing this rayspiral.

I took it to the post office today. Hope the book has a safe travel!

Journal Entry 17 by Niksu from Helsinki, Uusimaa / Nyland Finland on Wednesday, August 26, 2009
The book had a safe travel back to my address...

Yesterday I got info from my local post office about returned package. I was a bit confused and when I went to the post office, it appeared to be New Moon un-opened and on the package was stamp saying Not Claimed! So the book is with me again and I'm not sure what to do next.

Lady-anglophile did send me her address twice and I checked it again and it was correct. I have send PM to her asking some explanations, maybe it's the post office in Kuwait messing around.
