From the back cover:

How do we find the courage to always be true to ourselves—even if we are unsure of who we are?

That is the central question of international bestselling author Paulo Coelho's profound new work, The Witch of Portobello. It is the story of a mysterious woman named Athena, told by the many who knew her well—or hardly at all. Like The Alchemist, The Witch of Portobello is the kind of story that will transform the way readers think about love, passion, joy, and sacrifice.

I bought this at an airport newsstand because I'd had a several flight delays and had finally run out of reading material. What a fantastic book! I loved the various perspectives telling the story. The story itself was inspiring and lovely, and I had a difficult time putting the book down to do important things like unpack, or sleep.

I first read something by Paulo Coelho last year for the Olympic Challenge and really enjoyed it. Then I subscribed to Ode magazine and he writes a column in it each month which I also enjoy.

So thanks for my opportunity to read more of his full-length fiction!
