Hallo daar, vinder! Als je dit leest, heb je een boek gevonden. Gefeliciteerd! Hopelijk is het iets dat je leuk vindt; zo niet, dan heeft het je toch tenminste hier gebracht en dat is ook wat waard. Je mag het boek gerust doorgeven aan iemand anders, of zomaar ergens achterlaten. Kijk gerust wat rond. Veel plezier!

Sometimes I worry that my German hasn't progressed much beyond this sort of children's book. But then I think, so what! It's a charming story, and I'd never have read it otherwise.

The Moghul is a small troll (although it looks rather like a teddy bear in the illustrations!) with anti-vivisectionist leanings. (I'm not even going to try to say that in German!) Against its better judgement it befriends a human boy, and discovers that it has an unexpected magical talent. The story of how the humans use this first to trap and then to rescue the Moghul is a delight to read!
