Journal Entry 1 by NICNIC2 from St Andrews, Scotland United Kingdom on Friday, October 24, 2008
If you're new to BookCrossing - welcome! I hope you will enjoy the site as much as I have. BookCrossing is about spreading literature around the world for free. Please make a journal entry for the book you have found so we can see where it travels to next. You can do this anonymously if you like but if you decide to join (its free!!) please consider entering me (NICNIC2) as your referring member. I don't receive anything for this but I like knowing that I've encouraged someone else to catch the BookCrossing bug! Happy reading!!

Journal Entry 2 by NICNIC2 from St Andrews, Scotland United Kingdom on Friday, October 24, 2008
Unless I have missed some subtle, finer points this is one of the most randomly pointless, plotless novels I have ever read. There is not a single likeable character- even the protagonist is annoyingly 2-dimensional. I was hoping for a nice georgian mystery but all I found was boring prose that felt predicable and clichéd. I get the idea of not being able to escape your past no matter how far you run but it wan't a substantial enough text for me. I hope someone else will enjoy this though. I'm sending it off on its travels for Holiday Gift Giving 2008 :)

Thanks NICNIC2 - I hope to enjoy this tale more than you did, and I will be sure to pass it onto someone from an East Anglian local B/C meeting afterwards.

I did actually read this from start to finish and there were parts where I thought a decent story was going to break through, but no. I will not pass too many other comments as the next person who reads hopefully may enjoy it more.

Thank you for the book! I was especially happy that this was the first bookcrossing book I have yet bookmooched. Curious to read it too...
