Oops... I just realised that I hadn't journalled this.

Well, I found this a hilarious read considering that the subtitle describes exactly what you get: Sex, Drugs and Shakespeare (in approximately that order!). It was also hilarious considering that my student - a very nice, rather conversative seventeen year old girl - would have been mortified had she known how explicit this book was! It makes my own uni days (and hers, I suspect) look very very innocent indeed.

I think it's always a risky proposition to interlace your own prose with the incomparable poetry of the Immortal Bard. So it was a brave endeavour of Winfield's - one that I'm not convinced was a total success. It was entertaining, I'll admit, and I did enjoy the speculation on Shakespeare's life, but overall, I found it more promising as a potential proposal than successful in its execution.
