A cautionary tale about the dangers of extremism, set in a NZ context. The Tane Taimaha, a Taliban-like group of Maori extremists, have taken over the country and outlawed the use of English. Non-te reo speakers are forced into hiding, to avoid summary execution or the dreaded Language Camps, but a resistance movement is slowly growing, and one small band of unlikely freedom fighters is battling its way from Auckland to Wellington to join the leaders.
