Paperback. Purchased used just for me on a book buying excursion at the local library. How nice. And one of my favorite writers, too.

[Box: In Mom-orial, Sweet-Pickle's Last Mysteries Bookbox]
I was glad to see this was one of Sweet Pickle's favorite authors and that I had decided to give her another chance. Only read one Cornwell before (the one where she tries to solve the Jack The Ripper mystery). I wasn't too taken with it, but from everyone who is a Cornwell fan, I've heard that book wasn't indicative of her talent and to give her another chance. When I saw this book in the Mom-orium bookbox, I thought this was probably a good time. Now I think Sweet Pickle would have approved:)
This is the first Kay Scarpetta novel I've read; I have to admit I like Kathy Reichs' books better. Maybe I need to start with the earlier books though. The plot was good, but the Doctor wore on me. And I know some of the plot lines were continuations, so while it didn't ruin the story for me, I may have had a better understanding or sympathy for the characters had I read them first.
On its way to Pretty Poodle for her train station bookshelf
THANK YOU!!! These will be a fabulous addition to the NTCRRS - OBCZ shelves!
