mooched from carole

A savage attack has left two dead, and a girl with her throat cut, but alive. In search for a haven for one of their witnesses, the police turn to Dr Samantha Laschen. But what begins as a favour and an experiment ends as a fight for her sanity, and for the survival of all that is precious to her.

8 out of 10

this was an enjoyable read - I was confident early on that I'd picked "whodunnit" but I enjoyed the story nevertheless.

It has a somewhat gory scene near the beginning, but after that there isn't much here to bother most adult readers.

Received safely some days/weeks ago, but I've been very slack about journalling it because Life has got in the way.

I look forward to reading it. I'm off work sick for a couple of days, so now might be the time.

G'day,

Just checking in to let you know I am safe and sound. I am having a nice visit with fairy-whispers before continuing on my travels. I hope you’re having as much fun as I am!

With Great Affection,

Your Book :-)

6 out of 10

This was an enjoyable but forgettable read. Some of the twists were predictable, others not so much. In any case, this wasn't really my cup of tea. Perhaps someone else would enjoy it more.
