Journal Entry 1 by flossie771 from Villa Rica, Georgia USA on Wednesday, October 15, 2008
A short little book with lots of impact. From the back cover: It's within you to carve out your own future, create your own destiny. I wrote this book so that you might be spared. Not from having to learn the lessons I had to learn. No one can spare you that, because learning is experiential, and you have to do it yourself. As a wise person once told me: If I could spare you the pain hou're experiencing, I wouldn't--because I wouldn't want to deprive you of the strength and wisdom you'll gain from having gone through it and come out the other side. Each and every one of you is a powerful, resilient human being capable of living the life you design for yourself. I wish all of you the faith and the courage to pinpoint your passion. Maria Shriver

Journal Entry 3 by flossie771 from Villa Rica, Georgia USA on Thursday, July 09, 2009
Okay...the box is ready to mail. There WILL BE a book in the box for each participant from their BC wishlist. The BCer that is to get a specific book from the box will know it is theirs because it will be clearly marked with their BC name. I have uesed a sticky note attached to the inside of the book with the BCers name on it, with a bookmark in the book, and I placed a rubberband around the wishlist books. DO NOT remove any book that is marked (sticky note and a rubberband around it) with another BCers name, that book is meant for that BCer only. You MUST put a book in the box from MY WISHLIST after you remove the book that is from YOUR WISHLIST. Please mark my wishlist book so it is easily identified as my wishlist book. There will also be books in the box that are not marked and you can take from these books as you please. You must put the same number of books back in the box that you remove from the box. NO HARLEQUIN or books of that type should be put in this box. This box is not a "dumping" box for books that you are unable move from your shelf. If it is not a book you would read or would want to receive PLEASE do not put it in this box. Please keep the box no longer than one week after you receive it. I would like to move this box along quickly so that we all have some great new books to read. Please journal the books that you remove from the box. Please post here when the box arrives and when you send it on. This is the book that will used to journal the box. I will be sending this box out using USPS Media Mail. If you wish to use a faster service that is up to you. You MUST send the box with delivery confirmation so that if the box ends up lost we can try to track it. Any questions just ask! The box of books arrived safe and sound. I opened it up immediately and enjoyed looking over the nice collection of stories. Now for the decision part. I, of course, took out my Wishlist book which was Time is a River by Mary Alice Monroe. Thank you so much flossie771! It sure sounds like a book I can get totally lost in. Hope you like my selection for you. ;-) I will journal again when I make my selections.
