This was a very good book. But I accidentally bought it twice!
I've read one other book by Michael Kimball, and the premise of that one was so horrific to me, that I could hardly bear to turn the page for fear of what I might read. That doesn't sound like it would make for a good book.
It does, though.
You're gripped. With an almost ghoulish intrigue.
This book gripped me too. I almost didn't know who to believe! Who was good, and who was bad. So twisted and well woven was this tale, so well drawn the characters.
I was surprised by the ending. And I didn't get all the good guys and bad guys right.
