Released on Wednesday, June 18, 2003 at mailed to another bookcrosser in Lisboa, lisboa Portugal.
I have just mailed this to myntti in Finland. I suppose to be very strict is not really a wild release but it felt very wild. First, the post office is on strike, open but on strike, so the service is somewhat sketchy. Second, I used a recycled envelope and used a pin to close it, but they made me take out the pin, I hope the glue still left on that flap holds till Finland. Third, when I asked for it to be sent bookrate ( cheap and fast), they checked! I took out the book gladly, it was most obviously book, but they leafed through it as if suspecting any dangerous contraband like a postcard or written notes, and the Bookcrossing label was object to careful scrutiny. After a conference they agreed that the label does still allow the book to be sent bookrate. I am glad I had used a prenumbered label, I wonder if they would have objected to the handwriting on the plain labels!

I received "The Nanny Diaries" in the mail this morning, so the book is now safe in my hands. Thank you, BlossomU!

I liked this book, though I didn't like Grayer's parents at all. A good read. I won't say more, I don't want to spoil the plot because there will be readers after me. :) The next one is lunasprite, to whom I'm going to send this book!

Sent to lunasprite who lives in UK.
Book arrived safely at my mum's house on Thursday and I picked it up yesterday. Looking forward to reading it now - especially since the rest of my books are all packed in boxes awaiting my imminent house move! Thanks Lukutoukka :)
I was really looking forward to reading this book but found it a little disappointing. The style of writing made it a bit difficult to feel much emotion about any of the characters - although the story was just starting to swing in the last 2 chapters!
My overall impression was 'What a shame - this could've been a great story, but wasn't'.

I gave this book to a work colleague back in early summer 2004 on the promise that she would pass it on. I have since left that place of work and lost touch but hopefully this book will be journalled again at some point in the future...
