I took a trip to The Book Thing to replenish my stock of available books for release and this is one of the books that I brought home. I was able to gather books to fit several upcoming release challenge themes and just to have for spreading the word of my favorite hobby, BookCrossing.
Rhythmbiscuit was my very lovely roommate during the convention. I am pleased that you found one of the books that I brought to your liking and that you snagged it to take home. :)
I released this book as part of the 2008 Tick Tock Release Challenge from the Release Challenges forum.
I released this book as part of the 2008 Never Judge A Book By Its Cover Release Challenge from the Release Challenges forum.

Crrcookie gave me this book in Charleston, SC during the UnConvention. It was great to meet you, crrcookie and lilgrovers!
I loved this book! I hadn't known about the 1906 murder of Grace Brown prior to reading it. Although Grace Brown's story is secondary to the story of Mattie Gokey, the sixteen-year-old heroine, I enjoyed the connection to history. I like how the author contrasts the choices available to Grace and Mattie.
Mattie was a fascinating main character, and I found myself rooting for her to find her "voice."
I possessed this book for way too long, so it's off to find its next reader!

I gave this book to another reader at Drip Denver during our book club meeting. I hope she enjoys it as much as I did!
I grabbed it in a Jane Austen Book Club Christmas White Elephant. I particularly liked the concept and description of place. It's enticing me to finally read "An American Tragedy".
