A pity I can't get the cover image of this one to come up. Is Australia the only country with the Teddy Bear hanging photo on the cover? This is another book by the author of I Hate Myself and Want To Die.
I thought there was an inconsistency in the depth of the analysis of some of the songs, nonetheless I had many giggles over the category selections, such as " Those Freaking Butterfly Songs" and "Love's Just Another Word for I Want to Eat Your Liver". I love the conversational sarcasm and humour in each analysis.
Lots of songs I don't know but one of my all time favourites is there, There Is A Light That Never Goes Out by The Smiths. Plus a few that always make me smile in a slightly bewildered way, Afternoon Delight, I've Never Been To Me.
Going to drop in on the Melbourne Bookcrossers' brunch this Sunday while I'm visiting, and release this book there..hope there are no literary standards at your meetups :-)

posted to my dear friend jo1975 this morning. i hope she gets a kick out of it!!
Really funny! I liked this book a lot and it even made me laugh out loud a few times.
I'd have loved more actual lyrics quoted, is my only criticism.
Great book! Sorry this entry took me so long. I'm also not sure if any of the books I have released have ever been jounalled, so thinking of new ways to get them out there...hmmm:)
