The blurb:
If you found a tiny golden dragon with green paws, would you know what to do with it?
Well, Moomintroll thinks he knows what to do. But when he takes his new-found pet home, things don’t quite work as planned!
’They seem to grow in wisdom and delight every time I read them ... a perfect marriage of word and picture’
***
Moomins are Finland’s gift to the world: Even though Moomin books are meant for children, both grownups and kids love them.
Most of us Finns have read these books as translated versions because Tove Jansson wrote in Swedish.

Tales from Moominvalley was one of the books in ninth box of the Finnish Forum BC Christmas Calendar.
A quote from the book was posted on the forum. Everyone, who wanted to have the book, then posted their entry. The quote posted was,
So he stumped down the stairs, threw the door open with a bang and shouted in a cross voice: ‘Christmas’s coming! I'm tired of you and your sleeping, and now Christmas will be here almost any day!’
It was em64 who won the book in the raffle. Congrats!
Mailed the book yesterday. I hope you’ll enjoy it, em!

What a lovely Christmas surprise! Thank you so much, Tarna! I'm currently reading my very first Moomin book (Muumipappa ja meri) that was a Christmas present from last year's BX Christmas meetup. My fellow boocrossers have finally made me get acquianted with Tove Jansson's books...
The second Moomin book I have read was better than the first one (Muumipappa ja meri). I don't know whether it was due to the language or the short stories it consisted of. Still, I wouldn't say that I'm terribly in love with the Moomin books. Maybe I just don't get them... This book gave a little bit of hope that I would get them one day as there were a couple of stories that I did like. Can't help it but I kind of feel guilty when I have to admit that I'm not too fond of the Moomin books...

Thanks so much em64!
I love Moomins! :D
The moomins were waited for me in my postbox. They arrived safely, but couldn't tell their travel to me.. :) I always think about the travel of the book, how much it can tell about places, people with whom it met...
This book will stay on my Permanent Collection until I have read it, then I will decide its future. Considering there are more Moomin fans on BC, I think I will release in order to suprise someone..
