Journal Entry 6 by sarradee from Dallas, Texas USA on Thursday, March 05, 2009
A terrible fire in a wealthy suburban home leaves a married couple dead and Detective Lindsay Boxer and her partner Rich Conklin searching for clues. And after California's golden boy, Michael Campion has been missing for a month, there finally seems to be a lead in his case--a very devastating lead. As fire after fire consume couples in wealthy, comfortable homes, Lindsay and the Murder Club must race to find the arsonists responsible and get to the bottom of Michael Campion's disappearance. But suddenly the fires are raging too close to home. Frightened for her life and torn between two men, Lindsay must find a way to solve the most daunting dilemmas she's ever faced--at work and at home. Saving the best for last (or latest anyway), this was my favorite book in the series so far. I really liked the serial killer arsonist plot, it was horrifying and terrible and pretty original. The ending left me shaking my head though.... SPOILER Highlight to read: If Michael has such a devastating heart condition that he could die any moment, at the end he looks completely fine, tanned and carefree? And he and Junie Moon ran off to Tahiti together? Where did this all come from, it completely strains believability. Onto the next person on the list.

Journal Entry 10 by imuzak12 from Corpus Christi, Texas USA on Saturday, May 23, 2009
I honestly had lower expectation to this book because the last a couple of books in this series didn't appeal much to me. Despite of my prejudice, it was really good! The excitement and thrill, which the beginning of this series had, came back, and I enjoyed reading this one a lot. Instead of putting multiple cases in one book, there was only two ongoing cases in it, and there were good twists and interesting developments of girls' lives. There was one question left in me though. Who was the source of leaking the confession of Junie Moon to Chronicle? At first, I suspected that Joe went behind of Lindsey, but it seems I was totally wrong. Was it a part of plan by J & M? Did I miss the answer somewhere? I don't know. I am also interested in how the relationship of Lindsey and Joe would be from here and with Rich as well. I kind of prefer Rich to be with Lindsey. I heard from co-worker who was reading the book eight of this series that what was going on between Lindsey and Joe at the beginning of it. It sounded very interesting where their relationship was heading. It was really good read, and I thank jsmeltser for sharing all seven books of this series. I am going to send this book home some time in the next week. 5.30.09-- My car needed repair, but It couldn't be done this week. Naturally, I couldn't go post office this week. I'll get it done early of the next week and will send the book home by the end of the next week.

Received in yesterday's mail. Now all of the books are home. I've really enjoyed watching these books travel and reading everyone's reactions to them. Thanks to everyone for letting me share them with you and for taking such good care of them! And thanks to imuzak12 for the coffee and the postcard. I LOVE coffee so I can't wait to brew a pot and settle in with a good book.
