WILD RELEASE NOTES: This book is a double release. One for the Akron Reading Festival and Two, for the Reader Challenge. This book is a part of the BookCrossing "The Reader" Challenge: to find and release books that somehow relate to the award winning book “The Reader” by Bernhard Schlink. (Full details available online at www.bookcrossing.com. ) I choose this book for the reader challenge because it deals with murder and bigotry and sin.

Journal Entry 3 by Tribefan from Lakemore, Ohio USA on Sunday, February 08, 2009
Oops! This one came home with me from the Akron Reading Festival! Struggling to put a wounded deer out of its misery, intrepid rancher Shirley McClintock stumbles over a human skeleton half-buried in autumn leaves. Then she discovers a second murder, accomplished with the same arrow that had pierced the body of the deer. The crimes are apparently unrelated, but McClintock catches the same rotten stench in both. Only proof is lacking, but that, when she finds it, cannot be used. Not without putting the person nearest her heart into mortal danger.
