New book purchased to replace an existing bookring which seems to be lost. Will be sent next to lemonitsa, who will then send it to cheriepie.

Arrived this morning in a postal body bag! It seems that someone dropped the package in a tub of motor oil! I know, the horror!!! BUT, I will say one thing: the miracle of bubble envelopes is astonishing. :) The whole outer envelope was greasy and dirty, the paper was soaked (I'm amazed they were able to read the address) but the inside was pristine :D The plastic 'bubbles' protected the book and it is as clean as the day it was bought.

I will get to it very quickly so I can send it to cheriepie. Kis, if you want to see the way the package came, check bookobsessed, I am going to post a photo this weekend ;)

I need to find the second book in this series. :)

The story was pretty good. I enjoyed the interaction between the lead characters and the secondary good guys. I didn't much like the bad guys, and not because they were bad. Seemed like they weren't thought out too much. That's OK, though, the story was not slow and the end makes me want to continue reading so... book 2 where are you? :)

Lemmy, I DO have all the books in this series which I will send out on rings to the same participants so no need to go looking for the next one if you don't want to. Since they're not mass market, they're not necessarily as cheap and easy to find as mass markets are.

I need to decide how I want to handle all this via BookCrossing numbers though. The obvious solution doesn't allow me to edit the top-most entry to mark the book as PC as I usually do (see other copy for an example). *shrug*

Also, I notice that CandyDarling was in-between Kislany and Lemonitsa on the original list too so I need to check in with her to see if she still wants to read it too.

Mailed this off to CandyDarling on 7/17/09, along with a couple of other books, since she was inadvertently skipped on the previous ring which was lost.

Next step is to retrieve the remaining books in the series from one of the many book boxes in my garage so I can read and share them now too. (It's been so long, I'll probably have to skim through this one for a mini-refresher.)
