Got the book today. Thank you, myntti!
This was a story that reminded me of X-Files (which is one of my favourite tv shows). The plot was bit slow to my taste: too much waiting! Harper's supernatural talent was interesting and the murder mystery was good, though. I guessed the secret or motive after Harper realized what certain letters meant.
The book is now reserved for AgnesXNitt, who requested a trade.
Sent to AgnesXNitt. I Hope the book gets safely to England!

This novel has been sitting on my desk at work since late March/early April while I tried to work round to reading it during my lunch. This last weekend I managed to snag a copy of the third book in the Harper Connelly series (so far) 'An Ice Cold Grave' for pennies at our Church Summer Fete, and this has reminded me that I need to read the book that kicked the whole series off - hence some fast reading :)
A really good read, not too testing, just the right amount of character background and characterization to drive the story forward.
As I love the author's 'Sookie Stackhouse' novels, I was hoping this latest series would be as enjoyable a read. And I haven't been disappointed!
Many, many thanks to Kemppu for the trade earlier in the year.
Possibly a ring book...
