I'm very happy to send this to LeishaCamden in Norway to start an international audio bookray. I hope you laugh as hard as I did!

This arrived in my mailbox yesterday, but because of some trouble with the BCID I couldn't journal it till today. Weirdness! Here's hoping it'll work now. :-)

I'm a big fan of The Daily Show and watch it, dare I say it, religiously ... and I think Black is hilarious on the show. Until I came across this bookray I didn't know he was a writer as well. I'm really looking forward to this one, should be good. :-)

I finished this a few days after I'd sent it. mp3 players are a brilliant invention! It was so cool listening to this book as I worked or walked or cooked or whatever. :-) This was the first audiobook I ever listened to on my then brand new mp3 player. Which I've since become completely addicted to. ;-) It was great to listen to this book while I went about my more mindless chores at work. :-)

This was a fun 'read', although perhaps not as laugh-out-loud funny as I'd expected. Not sure why. Maybe it was just too much all at once - I think maybe Black's rather abrasive style is best in small doses. It definitely had its moments - quite a few of them - and he made a number of good points, but I did feel as if it was a bit much after a while. It wasn't quite as funny as I'd expected, but still a pretty good read. I'd be open to more books by him. But I think I'd read those in smaller sections. :-)

I hang my head in shame that I still have not finished this book ... life has gotten in the way, I’ve been away on vacation for two weeks and right after I got back we had a death in the family ... so I have been too sidetracked. (And have had too little time at home to listen to audiobooks – I have ordered an mp3 player to make it easier to listen to books but it never arrives, my order keeps getting delayed ... ) But now it was soo time for this book to move on, so I’ve copied the rest of it onto my computer and I will update the previous JE once I’ve finished it. The book itself is on its way to gnissorckoob in Florida whom I hope likes chocolate ... ;-)

krl112, I’m so sorry for being so slow ... like I said on the ISO thread, better late than never, I hope. :-) Thanks for sharing this with us!!

Arrived today in Miami and, after a bit of trouble with the BCID (now fixed with a little help from krl112), I'm journalling. I was already having a very nice day and this -- along with a chocolate treat and postcard all the way from Leisha in Norway -- was icing on the cake.

Finished it yesterday. I did laugh out loud. But I thought he was too hard on some faiths; e.g., Mormons.
Anyway, it was a light listen for commuting.
