going to Vysion, a fellow bookcrosser
I received this in the mail after requesting it from quinnsmom upon the hearty recommendations of fellow bookcrossers. See schmetterling's review here.
Thanks for the book, and I'll read it as soon as I can and then send it on its way.

I finished this and am still thinking about it.
-A world that "could be" given certain circumstances.
-A world where men use the Bible to justify the terrible.
-A world against women that is beyond my ability to fathom.
-A world of hate, oppression, and dogma
I am still chilled by the scenes of the schooling the Handmaids were subjected to, which Atwood gives to us in flashbacks.
This is an extremely thoughtful (though sometimes explicit) book that any adult interested in women's issues should read, rather than see the movie.
