Kurzbeschreibung
She thought she’d have more time. Laurie Notaro figured she had at least a few good years left. But no–it’s happened. She has officially lost her marbles. From the kid at the pet-food store checkout line whose coif is so bizarre it makes her seethe “I’m going to kick his hair’s ass!” to the hapless Sears customer-service rep on the receiving end of her Campaign of Terror, no one is safe from Laurie’s wrath. Her cranky side seems to have eaten the rest of her–inner-thigh Chub Rub and all. And the results are breathtaking.
Her riffs on e-mail spam (“With all of these irresistible offers served up to me on a plate, I WANT A PENIS NOW!!”), eBay (“There should be an eBay wading pool, where you can only bid on Precious Moments figurines and Avon products, that you have to make it through before jumping into the deep end”), and the perils of St. Patrick’s Day (“When I’m driving, the last thing I need is a herd of inebriates darting in and out of traffic like loaded chickens”) are the stuff of legend. And for Laurie, it’s all true.

Received sometime since last Thursday in the post - probably this morning I should think. Been away from my flat due to shock and awe attack of chest infection last week, but I don't think this book arrived till this morning anyway.
Started to read the first page and was already giggling!
Thanks so much for this allbookedup, I can just tell I'm going to love this book! The author and I seem to be on the same wavelength already :)
Please let me know if you want anything off my AVL shelf in return?

OMG! I have to say, one of the *funniest* books I have read in over a year!! Laurie had me in stitches with her take on life as it hit and runs on her! I was literally in tears - so much so I had a bruised mouth from smiling and holding in the laughter so much! A fantastic book, I am so glad I read it. Allbookedup, I owe you and then some. To be honest, my work life has been very stressful since the end of July and I needed a book like this to lift me up a bit, thank God it has done. I will be lending this marvellous book out to friends but I don't think I'm quite ready to let it go wandering wild and free just yet.
I am inspired to read more of the author's work, as I feel we are very much on the same wavelength!
Once again, many many heartfelt thanks to Allbookedup, you are my Bookcrossing Angel!

Posted off on loan to Vamperstein8782 who expressed an interest in reading this one.
Enjoy ma'am - keep watching for the official mail (I sent it to your office) and don't try to read it whilst the boss is in, your laughter will betray you!

What perfect timing - I really needed cheering up today (not even wearing my shockingly pink shoes has helped!) after being ill all weekend and having the computer corrupt my stats that I slaved all morning over so it was a lovely and very welcome surprise (because I'd forgotten it was encroute) to receive this in the afternoon delivery along with the mad Primeval stickers :D Thanks mate!
I truly loved the other book of Laurie Notaro's that I've read, but I have to say sadly that this didn't quite meet my expectations. It did have it's very, very funny moments but there were a few things that were in the book where I was waiting for a really cracking punchline (which were delivered regularly and with aplomb in "Idiot Girls' Action-Adventure Club") but was unfortunately left wanting. That said it was still a book that was worth reading and, on the whole, was ultimately enjoyable.
Returned safely to AgnesXNitt this weekend.

Received back from V8782 this weekend when she came over to me to attend our Church film night. Sorry this one didn't cheer you up mate, hopefully 1952/3 Ealing Comedy 'The Titfield Thunderbolt' was more successful ;) Something told me the popcorn was a step in the right direction...
