A love story set during the time of the Wall Street Crash.
Naive Honora marries Sexton who appears to be a shallow individual. However, Honora 'lays aside his flaws', but having finished the book you wonder what for. Although the character of Honora has some depth, you never really know whether she is 'present'.
It is a dreamy sort of story and a summer read, but it was interesting reading it at the time Wall Street was spiraling down in 2008. Deja vu almost.

A moving yet disturbing book from an author that I had not encountered. Well worth the read.
I found this book on a bench outside a cafe near to Perth airport and brought it back to Sydney. I will release it soon.
