28 short and snappy travel stories bursting with exuberant candor and crackling humor. Many of these bite-size reminiscences chronicle personal ordeals endured in places with unfamiliar amenities, languages and/or cultures. Readers laugh, cry, and commiserate with these women and their comical, bizarre, and unforgettable adventures including being chased by a herd of 50 African elephants, getting bitten by a goddess-possessed healer in Kathmandu, a well-intentioned but disastrous attempt to wear a chador to a Kuwait shopping mall; nightclubbing with a prude in Bangkok’s infamous Patpong sex district, and observing the shenanigans of a delirious new son-in-law in the Himalayas.
Dedicated to "all the women who sit at home or behind theirdesks bitching that they never get to go anywhere."

Hardly bikini weather here! This one's going to have a vacation on Mt TBR for a while... but I'm definitely looking forward to reading it... sometime in the next millennium!
This was perfect reading for me at a time when I didn't want anything too challenging or brain stretching - as my life has been both of those things lately!
And what fun it was, too! Though it's too cold in Australia to be wearing a bikini at the moment (and believe me you don't want to see me in a bikini at any time anyway!), this kept me warm with giggles and the odd gasp of amazement at the adventures of the intrepid, and occasionally incredibly stupid, acts of these women on the road!
Thanks so much for sharing it with me azuki and Kiri! I'm going to pass this one on to another bookcrosser who I suspect will also enjoy it!
