Actress Evie Crump seems to have it all: glamorous job, beautiful man, and now – thanks to an unexpected inheritance – a lovely big house.
In reality, Crump isn’t the name-in-lights to get Hollywood producers banging on her door; the man is her best friend Bing – more likely to borrow her kinky knickers than buy them for her; the house is a rambling ruin complete with lodgers from hell.
Then Evie gets her big break – in a dog food commercial. Suddenly she has two roles to play; leading lady to her gorgeous leading man, and reluctant landlady in the real-life soap opera of 18 Kemp Street – where the plot is about to thicken…

Fancy moving in with Will & Grace?
Then come right in & make yourself at home....
Loved this book!!! Evie is a down-on-her-luck actress flat sharing with the man-mad Bing (he's great fun!)but then she inherits a house....& lodgers, get's a role in a TV ad...AND meets a gorgeous guy - things are looking up! Or are they?
Of course Evie's life doesn't go quite so smoothly & it's totally obvious which way things are going but just sit back, go with the flow & enjoy this book...an ideal read for any chick-lit lover!
I think there's more mileage in Evie & Bing...hope there might be a sequel :o)

This made it to the Alps today, along with some snow flakes and accompanied by chocolate! Too cool, thanks so very much! As suggested, this may have a bit of a rest on my TBR pile as things here are quite hectic just now, but it will be in good company and will definitely get read and travelling again in the hopefully not too distant future.

I loved reading this book! It is entirely my taste. Funny, light, and not a single boring letter in it.
I'll definitely look out for more books by this author and sure hope for a sequel of this one!

Overall, it’s a nice novel, I did expect a little more, but what can we say, the book description doesn’t always fit perfectly the story… It does become more interesting towards the middle and some characters are quite attaching, like the one of Bing.
I have the address of the next BCer - 300dogs - and will mail the book on monday!

Oh my gosh, it feels like I've been reading this book forever. I finally just finished it-yippee! I'm glad everything came together at the end.

I enjoyed this one, it took a bit for me to get into but I'm glad I stuck with it. Some of the language was a little tough for me to figure out the American English equivalent but overall I enjoyed the story. I contacted krl112 and she asked to be skipped, so I'm mailing this to lisabb2, it should arrive with the next reader in the next couple weeks or so.
