An early novel by Ms Heyer. I hope it is good!
This is a very early Georgette Heyer novel. Originally she removed it from publication but after her death, her son was persuaded to re-release it.
It was an interesting book and certainly was the least "professional" of Heyer's novels I have read to date. The story was almost in two halves; Simon's early life as a knight and then his life once he met Lady Margot in France and swept her off her feet (much to her chagrin). Pretty standard romantic novel stuff. It was diverting but not brilliant. I will keep on with reading Heyer's novels, though, I shall not be defeated!!
