Bought at Barnes & Noble in Greensburg, Pa., with a birthday gift card from my generous friend, Miss Briddie. Niece No. 2 would like to add this to her permanent collection when I am through with it.

The good news is that Tana French is working on a companion book/sequel for In the Woods because not all of the mysteries are neatly solved at the end of this one. Nevertheless, this was an enjoyable, well told story of the "found" boy and his quest to come to terms with his past in order to solve a heinous crime in the present and salvage his future. It's not your standard whodunit, so it was a nice change of pace. I found an interview with the author here that offered some insights into the characters and situations. I'll be passing this on to Niece No. 2 as requested.
