This is what happens when I go to the library booksale. For some strange reason they have Newbery books! ;)
To be REread would be more accurate, since this is an old favorite.

Funny - I have no trouble remembering that Kit is from Barbados, but the name of the capital city (Bridgetown) made no impression at all. The story of the Charter Oak is not quite told here, but I remember coming across it after I first read this and making the connection.
