Journal Entry 1 by mojosmom from Chicago, Illinois USA on Monday, April 14, 2003
Pre-numbered label used for registration. That last word is "flight", damnit!! The story of thirteen American women who trained for the space program, but "were summarily dismissed by the boy's club at NASA and on Capitol Hill." If you have a daughter who wants to be an astronaut, or who thinks women could always do that, she should read this book. This is an advance uncorrected proof, and so has neither the photographs or index which will be in the final published edition. It does contain an extensive bibliography and notes.

Journal Entry 4 by Sapphy from Southampton, Hampshire United Kingdom on Thursday, May 01, 2003
This book was very detailed, comprehensive etc..etc.. and I felt at times a little bogged down. It did have a strong narrative which helped lift it out of the historical and into your mind, and by the end I was willing these women to get into space. Made me proud to be female.
