Journal Entry 1 by DitteL from Næstved, Storstrøms Amt Denmark on Saturday, August 16, 2008
From back of book: Newsman Blair Maynard is curious. In one small area of the Caribbean, 610 boats have disappeared in three years with the loss of 2000 lives. There has to be a reason. The weather, maybe? Or just mishandling? Maynard sets out to discover, once and for all, the secret behind this uncanny phenomenon. For him, it's now or never. What he finds is something more macabre, more horrifying than he could ever have imagined...

Journal Entry 2 by DitteL from Næstved, Storstrøms Amt Denmark on Friday, September 12, 2008
If this book had been turned into a movie, I know I would had been scared dead if ever I were to watch it. However, as a book I don't really get the same kick out of it. Perhaps horror books just isn't my cup of tea, but it made me laugh instead of scaring me. That being said, I think the book is well written and a quick and enjoyable read.

This arrived in the mail from Denmark today, along with another book. Thank you so much, Ditte! I'm happy to hear you're enjoying the book you got in trade - I thought you would. :-) I've read a couple of other books by this author and thought they were entertaining - I'm a big fan of Jaws - so I'm looking out for other books by him. :-)
