Journal Entry 1 by Phedredelauney from Leeds, West Yorkshire United Kingdom on Tuesday, August 12, 2008
I picked this up in the library sale because Jonathan Carroll had been recommended to me as an author that I might enjoy as I like Neil Gaiman's books. Although I can see the similarity between the two authors I didn't find this to be as good as Neil Gaiman's books. It started off well but then seemed to dwindle off and I found the ending quite frustrating. It also seemed to take me longer to read than I expected that it should (although that may have been because I was reading it while heavily pregnant and rather fed up).
To be released at tonight's Leeds Meetup.

decided to hang on to it and read it instead.
Picked up at the Leeds meet up. Great to see you Mai-day
What would happen if, in the middle of your life, you were to meet your seventeen-year-old self? And what if he told you had lived all wrong, but, lucky for you, he was here to help you fix it? But what if you had only a week to fix it because it just so happens you also somehow just experienced the last day of your life and the clock is ticking. What if?
Frannie McCabe realises something's seriously screwy in his life when the dead dog he buried keeps turning up again. The Sciavos, a couple whose domestic war keeps the police department on their toes, disappear completely. And his teenage self arrives, full of attitude, to help Frannie sort out his mistakes - before it's too late.

I don't usually read sci-fi but this was ok probably because it had a mystery.

Lovely to see you, ReetPetite.
Average book, fine for holidays/journeys when you don't want to concentrate too much, but not good enough to make me want to read any of his other books.

I started reading this on the train home from Waterloo & really enjoyed the writing style (though the previous comments don't fill me with hope!)

Finished this one in a couple of days. I loved the author's style and he had some great ideas, though some ends didn't quite tie up. There were a few too many "Hang on, how could that work?" moments. Just goes to show, only Dr Who can get away with messing with time!
