Secret Diary of a Demented Housewife
15 journalers for this copy...
I've just bought it and already started reading - It's a lot of fun so far.
(What makes it a 9-star-book instead of a 10-star-book is that the plot becomes a little foreseeable during the last chapters).
The book is fun, with good writing style, and you'll find yourself laughing all the way through.
BUT: As a reader you should really be able to feel into the idea of being married, having children (and all the fuss they can create in an instant, affecting the entire environment ;) doing housework and so on.
It's not a single-girl-chicklit-type book, but has the chicklit fun factor.

A few guidelines for making this a successful bookring:
Please journal the book after it has arrived at your place. Then, please try to read it within a month. (Of course there might always be circumstances that keep you from reading it quickly. I just ask you to at least try to be quick in order to keep the book moving.) After you're done reading, please PM the person next in line for their address. Please note that the shipping order may change as the bookring will stay open for new participants to come on board, so please make sure to doublecheck in the book's journal who's next. Seamail is always fine - Nobody should spend a fortune on sending the book.
Most importantly: Have a good time reading and enjoy the book!

The book will start its travels around the world tomorrow, with a first stop in Kuwait. Happy Reading everyone!
The book will be sent first thing in the morning tomorrow :)
Thanks lady-anglophile (I really love the stamps) :)
I will read it as soon as I finish reading my other TBR. Sorry if it will take more than a month, but I will and promise to mail it to the next person in line :)
Soo when I got an opportunity to read the book, I simply cannot put the book down. Ok, it wasn't so hilarious as the reviewer said, still the story is addictive. How a housewife managed to keep her sanity over her daily problems. What I love most is the book cover: funny..witty..simple yet inviting.

Added to the Mt TBR, ;)
Finished on 9th Jan, I was dissapointed with the book. I found it irritating not funny and even checked to see if the author actually had children. I'm very glad to say I don't know any mothers like this.
Maybe I just wasn't in the mood for it, who knows.
Thanks for the chance to read this even if it wasn't quite my cup of tea in the end.

As chick-lit-ish diarists go, Bridget Jones is still the queen, but this one was good fun, even though rather too self-pitying and self-obsessed. I enjoyed it, and enjoyed delaying my housework to read it. I will contact Christoffel for her address and send it on as soon as possible.

Although this book looks really enjoyable to me, I'm sending it on unread. This book has been way to long at my place, and told me that it wanted to travel again. The book didn't like the cold winter with lots of snow in the Netherlands, so I think the book will like its next destination: France. It's on its way to chich!
I just finished reading a book last night so I'll get right on to this one.
I will post this to piolha as soon as she confirms her address.
Updated on April 6: piolha and Martjxox no longer seem to be active BookCrossers, I will pass this book on to GingerWhinger directly.

Book sent to GingerWhinger today, enjoy! :-)
Will get started on it later
Thanks to everyone who's posted it on so far
Found it very hard to get started as it is very similar to Wife in the North - Judith O'Reilly
and that irritated me a bit. It got better as it went on though
Pm -ing next in line
