This book has not been rated.

This book has the most intriguing cover ... and according to Amazon The Little Friend is a profoundly involving novel which demonstrates how the imaginary life embraces what literature we read, what special places we inhabit and what kindred souls we recognize, to help crack open even the darkest secrets life has hiding for us.

'Harriet (the protagonist) is one of the most engaging and rounded characters you are likely to find ... gorgeous, fluent, visual' The Times

Finally picked this up

Am about 2/3 or 3/5 of the way through ... and I have to say that so far a lot of this novel is a bit tedious. I don't relate to the characters at all

Harriet is engaging in a way ... but so far the whole story is somewhat disturbing.

Yep. I'm not a fan of this book. I did make it to the end ... so it wasn't that bad. But somehow I never really got into the book at all. Hard to say why
