7 out of 10

Well that was quick! Not much I hadn't come across before, but plenty of myth de-bunking and all told with Bryson's usual wit & style. Glad I've read it. Thank you suedo: hope the lurgy goes away soon.

I know how to play ... ;) Lovely to see you yesterday!

I love Bryson and though I'm not a huge Shakespeare fan - did some at school but that's it - I'm interested in finding out more about his life, especially as I've read some interesting conspiracy theories about his identity.

Picked this up at the BookCrossing meetup at Towcester Mill Brewery

Looking at the journal entries this is a well travelled book, and 9 years ago I too was at the meetup in Fenny Compton! A lovely pub on the canal.
