I finished this book last night while watching the olympics. I enjoyed it, but it wasn't what I thought it would be about (although I am not really sure what I thought it would be about!) It was a better 1001 book, very quick read, but a little too preachy for my taste.

Passing this on to Gayle62 on Saturday when we all get together to watch the Chicago Air and Water show!

Odd at times but I enjoyed it. ChiBoiler is right... a bit preachy.

I found it interesting that Paulo Coelho used some personal experience of being institutionalized as a young adult to write this book. I went on his website and read his take on the book. I think I enjoyed it more after reading that. It gives you a deeper understanding of why he puts himself in this book.

I've PM'd the next person on the list and hopefully will send it out Monday or Tuesday.

Book arrived safely. I have another book to finish before starting on this one, but hope to get to it w/i the next week.

9/30: From previous reviews I heard, I expected to really enjoy this book, but found that it just wasn't connecting with me, and stopped reading about half-way through. It wasn't bad, just wasn't 'my cup of tea' at the moment. I've contacted RustyReader for mailing info.

Update: RustyReader2 asked to be skipped. I have mailing info for GateGypsy, and will be passing this along shortly.
