The Southern Sisters are now my heros! I really enjoyed this first book of the series. The Sisters had me laughing and enjoying the short peek into their lives. It's bit of mystery and fun and even a bit of romance.
Light and fun!

I am starting a bookray if you want to join!

I thought this was a cute story and I was surprised at the end but I think some of the jokes and such were lost on me. Might just be my age.

mailing to alrescate today.

I received this in today's mail. I am looking forward to reading this and will get started as soon as I return from a trip. (I don't want to risk losing it!)

Journal Entry 15 by alrescate from Strafford, Missouri USA on Tuesday, September 9, 2003
Hoo-boy! Patricia Anne just wacked Mary Alice with a big, chewy chocolate chip cookie! I'm loving these ladies...they are just as grouchy as I am (even tho' I'm much younger).

Even though I will read more from this series this isn't the type of mystery I favor. The reader doesn't really have a chance to figure out who the murderer is and the crime is very neatly solved in the last two chapters.

I will turn to the Southern Sisters whenever I need a nice light read.

I put this in the mail to mellion108 yesterday. (Sweetiepeetie has already read it.)

Thanks for mailing this, alrescate! And thanks to pgsahm for making it available.

Got this in the mail today. I should be able to start reading it in the next day or so, and then I'll send it on its way.

Journal Entry 18 by mellion108 from Waterford, Michigan USA on Saturday, September 20, 2003
What a fun read! This is the perfect cure for a lazy day. Patricia Anne (Mouse) and Mary Alice (Sister) are a hoot! I hope I'm still kicking it like this when I'm their age. This is a quick, light read that is fun; there are some laugh-out-loud moments (like when the sisters are able to finish each other's sentences or when Mouse starts to recall all the times in 60 years that Sister has driven her up the wall).

I had this with me when I went to get my hair cut yesterday, and my stylist wanted to keep the book! I think I properly explained BookCrossing to her, and now it looks like I'll be out buying a copy of this for her.

I'm sending this on to bookaholic1346 either 09/20/03 or 09/22/03. Enjoy! Thanks for making this one available, pgsahm.

Journal Entry 24 by summermarie from Clifton Forge, Virginia USA on Saturday, July 10, 2004
So sorry for not registering this book right when it arrived! I just realized that I didn't LOL. I am the world's biggest scatterbrain!

This was a delightful book. Just as the other ladies said, it was the perfect read for a lazy day. I think I had an even better time reading it than most though. My aunt's name is Patricia Anne and I have a cousin Mary Alice. Any of these shaninigan's could have taken place just down the road. And to beat it all, I used to bartend in a bar that sounded JUST LIKE the Skoot 'n' Boot! The little episode where Mouse was fixing the toilet paper holder - yep, been there done that LOL! Therefore, I am hooked on these ladies. I am on a mission to own all of the series now. I can't wait to introduce my mother to Mouse and Sister!

Journal Entry 25 by shellyann from Rifle, Colorado USA on Thursday, October 28, 2004

Journal Entry 27 by shellyann from Rifle, Colorado USA on Thursday, November 18, 2004
This book is stalled. I haven't been able to get a reply from erika412. I've tried twice. I've also contacted bookowner and haven't received a reply. I cannot afford to mail to Australia at this time (that is its next destination after Erika). I will set the book aside and will be awaiting word from pgsahm on how to proceed from here.

Journal Entry 28 by shellyann from Rifle, Colorado USA on Wednesday, December 1, 2004
since I can't get a reply from pgsahm and this ray seems to have stalled here, I am updating the posts. I have not received any replys from the 2 people after me so I am going on down the list. I hope someone will reply soon. I hate having rings stall.

Journal Entry 29 by shellyann from Rifle, Colorado USA on Monday, December 6, 2004
Okay, I've pm'd pgsahm, erika412, jayda and janbur. No replies whatsoever. I have now PM'd mysteryfan03. If I get no reply, I am putting this book up as available. I'm not going to hold this forever. I'm wondering where people are?

Journal Entry 30 by shellyann from Rifle, Colorado USA on Tuesday, December 7, 2004
okay, I have heard from mysteryfan03. She already has a copy. This book has hit the end of its ray. It's going in my available box.
