Book picked up in a second hand shop in Bangkok, so it's already done a fair bit of travelling and the copy is a bit weary and creased, but looks intact, although it seems to have been exposed to some humidity. About a woman who seems to be psychic or can read people's minds, apparently.

Pretty good read, pretty good suspense. Bit of a delicate balance with the main characters having such contrasting sides to them.

Journal Entry 4 by Sidney1220 from McLean, Virginia USA on Tuesday, February 10, 2009
I really enjoyed this book. It's one of those more meaty historical authors don't write much of anymore, and I was hooked from the get-go not so much by the central mystery and romance, but by the large cast of well-developed secondary characters, some of which even had their own story/subplot. I liked Lucas well enough but had trouble warming up to Jessica with all her secrets and her inability to confide in Lucas. I was also disappointed with the identity of the villain.
