I had never heard of the McKenney sisters or the movie/play/musical based on them. My guess is this book was recommended in Book Lust and that's why I put it on my wishlist. It was an entertaining read of the two girls' exploits. I particularly enjoyed their father's washing machine experiments and the girls' run-in with the Brazilian Navy.
