Arrived 3 days ago - sorry I didn't write the JE any earlier. The reading will take longer than I expected. Will need to speed up a bit, so I can pass it on to Poppy17 on Aug 23rd :)

Thanks for "delivering" the book directly to my house yesterday, knittingcat! Seems to be an extremely interesting and useful book! Hope it won't take too long finishing it, but this is one of the books you cannot read in one go...

Journal Entry 5 by knittingcat on Sunday, August 31, 2008
Aug 30rd: passed it over to poppy17. I found it a bit difficult to read, but got some interesting ideas that I will give a try. I didn't make it through the whole book so and will read the rest of it in a German copy. What I like best about the book? The 2-minute-rule. Whatever you can do in 2 minutes, just do it instead of procrastinating and free your head and mind of the pending task and the guilt you might feel about not having done it yet.

Just another journal entry to tell that the book is with me now, as knittingcat made the release note after my journal entry. So don't worry, everything is in order now, knittingcat.

Journal Entry 8 by poppy17 from Angelbachtal, Baden-Württemberg Germany on Wednesday, October 22, 2008
Got an e-mail from my boss yesterday telling "I am in a bookstore in Boston and have just bought 'Getting Things done' for us". Great! It's really good to have this book at hand to look things up from time to time. Actually, I already knew the 2-minute-rule and I am practising it. It gives a good feeling when you have finished a lot of different things after only one hour in the morning! I also think that the rest of Allen's system could be extremely useful... in case you show a certain discipline and manage to keep all those different lists up-to-date. Maybe this is the weak point of the system... However, I am very motivated now and will at least give it a try. I am now going to ask haley79 for his/her address.... Edith says thank you to lilifin for organizing this bookring and sorry that I kept the book longer than 4 weeks.

The book arrived today and I am very curious about it and hopeful to receive a couple of sensible new ideas to "get things done". Thanks for sending, poppy17.
