A friend of mine gave me The Pilot's Wife to read. At first I was hesitant because of the Oprah's book club stamp, I figured it looked like a pretty depressing book. To my suprise it was one of those books that once I picked it up I had to finish it. Anita Shreves' style is captivating and she tells a story that is in a style all her own. I definatly would recommend this book.
