Journal Entry 1 by Tribefan from Lakemore, Ohio USA on Tuesday, July 15, 2008
Following in the footsteps of Politically Correct Bedtime Stories, this book retells classic bedtime stories, stripped of any elements that might be offensive to women, gays, short people, minorities, giants, or wolves, as well as any details that might encourage aggression, cruelty, sexism, prejudice, littering, and so on. At the same time he pokes fun at our politically correct sensitivity, the author points out biases in our traditional stories that we may not have been aware of.

This is actually a 2in1 book. It contains both Politically Correct Bedtime Stories and Once Upon a More Enlightened Time. Reread the first book: Politically Correct Bedtime Stories. It still gave me a chuckle! Now reading the second book!

Once Upon a More Enlightened Time: I guess you can have too much of a good thing. I just got tired of the same kind of writing and storytelling after a while....

Journal Entry 6 by JudySlump612 at Minneapolis, Minnesota USA on Sunday, February 12, 2012
This was fun, and I think one of the secrets of enjoying this is to take only a little bit at a time - otherwise the language might become predictable. This would be a perfect book to read and snicker over, and then share with friends. Or, if you have a summer cabin, this would be an excellent way of entertaining your family & friends. In fact, you might even plan a competition, as to who could write the most enlightened and politically correct new story! And don't you just love the cover illustrations? But that's just one person's opinion. Future readers, what do YOU think of this book?

Journal Entry 8 by mngirl at Saint Paul, Minnesota USA on Sunday, April 15, 2012
I received this from JudySlump612 2 months ago and really thought I had journaled it. I think what happened was I went to journal but she hadn't officially released it yet so I waited and ultimately forgot. She asked me about it today at the TC bookcrossing meeting. So I'm journaling now. Sorry about that. It's a 2 books in 1 and I have finished Politically Correct Bedtime Stories and am currently reading Once Upon a More Enlightened Time. Its a quick read, I read 1 or 2 stories before bed, although it has been awhile since I've read one. Will have to start again tonight. I am enjoying the stories. He really goes overboard with the PC but that is what makes it fun to read. Everyone is so PC these days and I think this is a statement on how uninteresting things would be if everything we read, said, or did was PC.
