Paddington Bear had travelled all the way from darkest Peru whent he Brown family first met him on Paddington Station.

Since then their lives have never been quite the same... for ordinary things become quite extraordinary when a bear called Paddinton is involved.

Well it has been a pleasure having Paddington to stay, he even got along with my teenage son.
We had tea and enjoyed a drive into the city together to see an exhibition, but alas Paddington fell asleep in the car and missed it!
He is very good company.

I'll be sending him on the next leg of his world Journey tomorrow. He's heading to singapore.

Thanks for letting him visit, it's been fun!

Edited to Add - Left Safely with a few extra surprises in his bag!

Have pm'd KateKintail for her add.

This is my first audio book and I have enjoyed listening to it during bedtime and in the quiet w/o any distractions. Stephen Fry reads well with all the different tones for different characters. The good thing about listening is that when our eyes are tired reading word for word in a normal book, in audio we could rest our eyes and concentrate more on our listening skills. Thanks to Smurphie & VioletC in letting Paddington visit and putting so much surprises in his already battered suitcase

Kate has sent me her address. Paddington is getting ready for his next journey to the US. I'll miss him so very much.

Sorry for the delay. Paddington has only boarded the plane today. Travelling to the US.

Picked this package up at the post office today! I remember reading Paddington bears stories when I was young, and I even had a little stuffed Paddington bear that was a present one year. I cannot wait to relive the fun of his adventures. And Stephen Fry narrates it? Did I know that when I signed up? No idea. But YAY! I can't think of anyone I'd rather hear read these stories.

What a special little bookring this is! Bookmarks and surprises galore! I was so moved and overwhelmed to see all these little treasures making the rounds with the audio book. I'll have to think of something special to add :-) Thank you SO much to bearyfriend, violetcrumble, and of course smurphie! I'll earread it this week and send it on ASAP. PMing trex3 for an address now.

This was so much fun! I listened to it several Fridays ago in one sitting and then again last week. I am reminded of the fun, simple style of Michael Bond's storytelling and the fun adventures of the marmalade-loving bear from Darkest Peru. As I'd hoped, Stephen Fry was in fact the perfect reader for these stories. I defy anyone to not fall in love with Paddington Bear after listening to this! :-)

A Bear in hot water- awwwwwwww! Sometimes logic goes out the window when you're dealing with water :-)
Paddington goes underground- haven't we all had difficulty navigating in subway systems? (especially with bacon in our cases)
Adventure at the seaside- but I wanted to see his castle! I'm sure it was the best of the lot
A disappearing trick- definitely taught me to read directions before trying anything out. What fun it would be to have Paddington at a party! heehee

Am posting a few pictures of Christmas when I was 3 and my own Paddington Bear came to live with me. Click on the pictures for slightly bigger versions:

Thank you so much for sharing this book with me/us! I've contacted trex3 twice now for an address. Will try a third time after the craziness of this weekend is over.
