This is the first in the Mitford series. It's about Father Tim, a parish rector and life long bachelor, who lives in a small town in the Carolinas. He is a kind-hearted man and everyone loves him. A huge black dog comes out of nowhere and adopts him. His church secretary is a bossy, and a jewel thief is hiding out in the rafters of the church. Funny. Clean language and no sex scenes. Makes you feel good. I have the whole series, part of which is hardbound. I have ordered it in a hardbound edition to complete my collection. That is the only reason I am letting this book leave my hands. I intend to have the collection on my shelves to be re-read. My mother introduced me to this series. Happy Reading!
I forgot to mention that this volume is in new condition.
