This book is set in France during WWII. A family of 3 kids and their mother unwittingly get caught in the middle of some war games that have amazing repercussions.
I felt like this book had a slow and very awkward start. I seriously thought I wasn't going to make it through, but kept plugging along because it had had good reviews. I'm so glad I did! It really picked up and then it was hard to put down, not concluding until the very last pages. The beginning madea little more sense and it turned out to be an enthralling book.

Great googely moogely! This poor book has been languishing in the closet of my apartment complex leasing office since July 5th!! Somehow they neglected to inform me of its arrival and they just "discovered" it again today. So sorry for the delay in journalling it, HeresDeb! Thanks for sending it and I'll get a "G" book moving along soon.
Try as I might, I just couldn't get into this. Will wild release it soon.
