Actually read a library e-copy because it was easier to drag around on the commute, and being able to have the dictionary look up the obscure words was helpful. Also, the e-book had a forward from another author, which helped. Excellent book.
The author tells the life of Daisy, by starting with her birth, then jumping by decade through her life. But instead of straight narration, she tells a bit from Daisy's point on view, then adds in other people's perspectives of Daisy, or what's going on in their own lives, so we get the whole picture of Daisy's parents, the woman who raised her for a time, Daisy's marriages, her children, a step-niece, and so on. Some parts really resonated with me. The descriptions are wonderful. Highly recommended.

If you aren't familiar with Bookcrossing, take a few minutes to check out this very cool site. Bookcrossers LOVE books, and more than anything, they love to read books and then set them free for other people to find and enjoy. I would love it if you would leave a journal entry -- you can say where you found the book or how you liked it when you read it. Then, when you are ready, pass it along for someone else to enjoy! Thanks and happy reading!
