I enjoyed 3 of the 4 stories.
Harrison's story: I ended up reading that one twice. I read it a few months ago, then put the book away to read books for challenges, Bookrays & BookRings. The first time, it seemed a bit boring, but after reading Dead Witch Walking, this was a much more interesting look at where Ivy came from.
Sands' entry: Didn't care for this one at all. It was silly.
Armstrong's entry: Chaotic was entertaining
Handeland's story: I wasn't sure if I was going to like her stuff, as it tends to look far too romancey for my tastes, but I was pleasantly surprised. I like that the heroine was an ordinary person who didn't turn into some beauty queen for the purposes of the story.
I am reserving this for a possible bookray being offered through Club Vlad.

Recieved in the mail today, I do have one book ahead of this one, I am almost done with the book so, i get to this asap.
7-19-08
I gave this book a 7 because I liked only only two of the storeies in it. Kelley Armstrong pulled through of course, and I loved Kim Harrison's story as well. The other two just weren't for me, a little on the boring side, but overall the book wasn't bad. I'll message the next person in line.

Received this little guy safe and sound in the mail today. It arrived with 2 other bookrings, I'll get it onto teenie-k within the next few weeks.
Just finished this one this morning. I felt a little lost in the first story, it was almost like the author didn't supply all the details to follow it. I couldn't read the second story, I started it but when they started making the comments about testing on animals I couldn't continue. I did enjoy the third one but then again, I have read all of Armstrong's books. The fourth one was okay, seemed to me to be the most light-hearted of all of them.
I already have teenie-k address so I will get it in the mail to her this weekend and make the release journal entry at that time. Thanks yvensong for including me in this ring and thanks to mysticalzoe for mailing it to me.

DATES FROM HELL:
A collection of four short stories of paranormal dating disaster. Overall, a good book that is light and entertaining. Prior to reading this book, the only author of the four I have read was Kim Harrison.
Undead in the Garden of Good and Evil – Kim Harrison:
A recent fan to the Hollows series, I enjoyed this story. Of course I missed some of the other Hollows characters, but it did do a nice job of being able to be a “stand alone” story for those unfamiliar with the series, while meshing with the events and characters of the series for those who know it.
The Claire Switch Project – Lynsay Sands:
While not a bad story, but it was my least favorite of the four in this book. I found it just a little too predictable. I felt that there were too many T.V./Movie adaptations on similar themes.
Chaotic – Kelley Armstrong:
A good story. Some action and intrigue.
Dead Man Dating – Lori Handeland:
This was my favorite of the four stories in this book. Like “Chaotic”, this story contained some action and intrigue, but I liked the story line better, and it had more of a twist.
Book will be sent off to toyjoy in Singapore who is next for this bookring. I already have the address, so I should have it posted in the next day or so.
Thanks again yvensong, for sharing this book!

Thanks to Yvensong for sending me a note! It was on my bookshelf after all! Glad it was not missing. Will get to it soon after I am done with a series of books. Thank you all for moving the book along!
Finishing soon! Had PM to Supertalya for her address.
Out of the 4 stories, I like the ones with the destabailiser where you can shift-shape, imagine being Keenu Reeves!!! Chaotic with the wolf-man & Dead Man Dating which I could relate more to a day-to-day life with the exception of the apocalypse... Got Supertalya's address & will be sent to her soon!
Thanks! It looks REALLY Good.
Update: I guess I was just not in the mood. I tried reading each story but couldn't get into them. I am sending this one along.
