This is the start to what it is without a doubt my favorite vampire series. There just isn't anything quite like these books that I've yet read. Twilight don't have anything compaired to the complex beauty/brutality of this series. They make me think for hours about beauty, humanity, love, emotions, immortality...I can go on and on. This defintly isn't your traditional vampire series. It's more Sci-Fi than anything else, there is some slight romance, but not much, so it's not for every vampire fan. This book is rather graphic, and has some adult themes.

I got this book in the mail yesterday as I was rushing out of the house. This sounds like an awesome book and I can't wait to read it.

Okay, I am starting off by saying WOW! This book is amazing! Thank you so so so so much sothisdhampir!!!

Doris Lang lives in a world ruled by vampires, they are the ones who have technology and supplies, humans are left scrounging for enough food to survive. Then one day she is attacked and bitten. She knows that unless the vampire lord who bit her is killed she will, in time, become what she most hates and fears. Desperate for a way to save her self and her little brother she hires a mysterious vampire hunter named D.

This book was wonderful, the writing was smooth, the characters fresh and appealing, and the setting awesome. It is Sci-fi meets Western meets Fantasy. Horses and shoot-'em-ups, fantastic technology and beautiful deadly vampires.

I've never read any novelized manga before, thinking that they are just run-of-the-mill products capitalizing on popular mangas. The spectacular journals, however, makes me want to give this a try. I enjoy good vampire stories and this sounds better than the average paranormal vampire romances.

This is truly a masterpiece of vampire fiction. Every time I open the pages, I get sucked into the fantastical world of a dystopia, where medieval castles, futuristic weapons, vampires and mythical creatures, frontier sheriff, magic, sword fights all come to play. The author created such an extraordinary world, so strange yet so beautiful and real.

The vampire is now travelling on. Well, actually, it's going home to Romania!!
