This is such a good series! I really enjoy the combination of humor, love and suspense. Mix that in with hot love scenes and vampires and it's wonderful! :-)

I am saving this one for Flossie771 who enjoys paranormal romance, too!

My first foray into the world of vampire romance. I have to say that I wasn't entirely convinced; this was due mainly to a) poor editing; b) enduring squick at the non-consensual vampire-turning. I do appreciate that the poor hero faced a rather difficult choice, but I'd have appreciated the narrative addressing this with greater attention rather than skipping straight to the unresolved sexual tension. (Also the resolved sort.) And the quasi-date-rape stuff was rather nasty, too.

All that said, it was a compelling story, and I raced through it. And it was hilarious in parts - particularly the sequence with the police at the end. I don't know. I wanted to like it, it being a sweepstake prize and all, but it kept throwing me off. A pity.

Not sure if I've read this or not it seems familiar, either way it looks fun :o)

The idea of this book sounded amusing enough, in short, Rachel accidentally becomes a vampire after saving Etienne from being staked, she then has to adjust to life as a vampire, cope with his family as well as surviving being kidnapped by Etienne's homicidal stalker. I know its a fantasy novel but I do expect it to make me "believe" while I'm reading...I didn't!

There was so much scope in this story but it was left untapped, just when I thought things were picking up, the story turned cheesy, or repetitive & even worse, in some cases, embarassingly bad (in particular one very weird sex scene involving thoughts of biting sausages!)
I didn't care about the characters & their relationship wasn't convincing, I guess they weren't my kinda vampire....they couldn't even over power Pudge!

It was okay I guess as an easy but forgetable read & while it hasn't put me off this genre I don't have any inclination to read the rest in the series.
