It did take me a little while to get into this and figure out the world that the author had created (as well as the story, since we find out gradually throughout the book what led to Rose and Lissa's leaving of their school). Once I got into it, I really got into it and enjoyed it. I especially like Rose's character, and I'm looking forward to reading more about her.

A good read, though I do not think one of the main characters "cutting" herself to relieve her depression is appropriate for teen audiences.
