Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!!!!!! What an amazing surprise to find in my mailbox today!

I'm contemplating doing nothing all day on Sunday (after a LONG day at the National Book Festival on Saturday) but staying in and reading manga/graphic novels!

I liked this one a lot. Kei, an interior decorator, and Okumura, a rich businessman, dance the dance of attraction and uncertainty for a long time. Even after they finally get together, they're not so sure how to be together. I really enjoyed the sexy discussion about ties that kicked the whole thing off, and was pleased to see it come up again later on as well.

The short bonus stories were also quite nice, especially as one of them involve these characters as well. Watching the guys get together for the first time in "Near the Rainbow, And You" was sweet.

I've read this - quite recently, as it happens - so I'm leaving this copy in the box for someone else to enjoy, but did want to add my comments. (I also enjoyed Volume Two.)

I found this a very enjoyable read, with artwork that I like a lot, and with characters who - for all the emotional game-playing - are more equal than in many yaoi stories. I also like the nods to the actual jobs of the characters, showing more layers to their personalities and lives than simply "when will they get together".

The bonus story "Near the Rainbow and You" looked as if it was going to get into "older man taking advantage of youth" territory, but the author deftly flipped that, and threw in some lost-boy issues as well. And the short-short "Early Summer" was a nice look at the two main characters in a setting where they aren't wearing suits {wry grin}.
